In
January 2002, members of the Mars Society Chapters in the UK, Germany
and the Netherlands were given the opportunity to visit the Society's
Mars Desert Research Station located in Southwestern Utah. The aim of
this visit was to enable European members engaged on the Euro-MARS
design to experience live aboard an analogue reserach station furst
hand, and also to complete the final shakedown of the MDRS
before handing it over to the first full science crew.
This
report details the experiences of the two British members of this crew,
Sarah Kearley and Bo Maxwell.
