The Mars Society UK

In 2004 and 2005 the Mars Society UK hosted the 4th and 5th European Mars Conferences (EMC).

EMC 4 was staged at the Open University, Milton Keynes, over the weekend of the 8th through 10th October, 2004, as a part of Space Week, a global celebration of space endeavours and activities declared and supported by the United Nations.

In 2005, EMC returned to the United Kingdom following an unfortunate need to relocate the event from Spain. This has marked the onlt time one country has hosted uccessful European Mars Conferences, a feat made possible by the overwhelming support of the event sponsors, EADS Astrium UK, PPARC and Logica. EMC5 was held in Swindon, over the weekend of the 4th-6th November 2005.
