I'd
like to congratulate and thank you for an excellently run and organised
Mars Conference this weekend. I think that we were really able to put
Aurora across as a vehicle for the public to have an influence on exploration
plans, and the fact the current plans took some critisism is in my view
no bad thing, and it is reassuring to know people are taking a keen
interest in subject. Is a said at the conference, now that we are fully
aware of the enthusiasm, dedication and hard work of your group and
its members, we will certainly endeavour to ensure greater participation
of such groups as youselves in the overall process of exploration development.
I hope that with the subsciptions continuing to come in for the current
Preparatory Period, we will be able to create much more opportunities
for participation outside the agency and industry in the future activities.

a quick note to say, thanks for putting together a great conference.
My only regret is that I couldn't make it down for the Friday night.
This was my first chance to meet yourself and members of the Mars Society,
and it was good to see such a diversity of views.
I think
it will be interesting to see how Aurora changes as a result of so many
of their representatives being exposed to the Mars Direct Roadmap (
and how many times did we see their roadmap this weekend - I could probably
draw it from memory now).

you for a very interesting and entertaining day at EMC-4. I was inspired
by the discussions and lecture series.

Just
a quick email to say thanks once again for a great conference! It wasn't
just the talks, although they were really good, it was the chance to
meet interesting people and make new friends that will stick in the
memory longest. Having been involved in running a society whilst at
uni I know a little about how much hard work it is! Also, thanks for
giving me the opportunity to do a talk. Its a subject I've looked at
casually before and it was good to have the conference looming to make
me look at it a little closer and with rather more urgency! In preparing
for and doing the talk I realised how little I knew about the subject,
but that has only enthused to find out more.

I should
like to thank you and all the members of the Events Co-ordination team
for all your hard work in organising the Euro Mars Conference 2004.
It was an excellent opportunity to meet other Mars Society members,
and to hear from the experts about the current situation in Aurora,
as well as in other aspects of solar system exploration. And of course
it was a privilege and an inspiration to meet the founder of the Mars
Society.

again for arranging such an excellent weekend. It exceeded my expectations
both in the quality of the presentations themselves, and even more importantly
in the quality of the discussions between them. The chance to talk directly
with people who had answers to many of my questions on what was really
happening within the Aurora program etc. was invaluable, as was the
chance to hopefully influence those people in some small way.
